Celebrating Esther’s Birthday!

David and I played as our guests arrived for the rose banquet.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lord for His mercy and guidance through the years of my life and thank my family for making the celebration of this so special! Looking back to the fun birthdays in the past and scary birthdays in the past, reassure me that the Lord is in control and has a plan and purpose for my life. It is so fulfilling it to live for Him!

The table turned out beautiful!Roses from Dad and Mom :)That morning for breakfast the boys made special shaped pancakes including this sledding person......and this dolphin!I love strawberry pie!

Celebrating Michael’s Birthday!

The cake was complete with candle, cacti and coyotes!

The theme for Michael’s birthday was cowboys! When Michael came in early in the morning and saw the decorations he said he had just been thinking about how the Israelites told the Egyptians that they considered themselves cowboys! Gen. 46:34 “Thy servants’ trade had been about cattle from our youth even until now.” It was extra fun to have Grandpa and Grandma join the party in their cowboy hats. We thank the Lord for Michael and are encouraged by his example of following the Lord and loving His ways. His birthday card read: “Wherever you may range, may the Lord bless you to be what He would be and to do what He would do. Happy Trails.”

The cowgirls......and the cowboys! The snowman even wore a hat!The card David made for Michael was one of a kind!Shorty stopped by to say "Howdy, partner!"These cactus cucumbers were really fun to make with toothpicks!Ready to dig into the cake after a good days work on the Staddon homestead.

A Blessed Weekend!

While our parents began planning for the Family Encouragement Weekends, the rest of the Wilkes came to our house to help us with some projects and visit. This was a very encouraging time for us and we treasure the memories!

Celebrating Uncle Tim’s Birthday!

The party people! The theme for Uncle Tim’s birthday was Florida! Grandpa and Grandma’s dining room was transformed with the beach backdrop, seashore table decorations, and shells from Sanibel. Grandpa’s apple black walnut cake and Aunt Melba’s fresh key lime pie were real treats! We have so much to thank the Lord for including terrific extended family and fun times together!
