The first thing that popped into my mind was that you would explain in the article how God had worked in your life recently. Yes, it’s so important to have a biblically correct view of God! I remember one time when in the grocery line and a conversation came up betwixt myself and the man behind me in line. He was Catholic and started saying how we all served the same God, including muslims. The Lord gave me the right question at the right moment to ask, “What is your definition of God?”. All of a sudden you could just see the light bulb go “on” as that concept went “click”. Don’t know what became of him, but hopefully he read the Gospel tract I gave him. I don’t think he was far from the kingdom.

Esther, didn’t you dress up like a cow??? 🙂

I think this is one of the most challenging (if not THE most challenging) questions one can ask.
It made for great thinking and inspiring conversations.
Thank you for sharing it, Esther!

Recently Dad wrote a very helpful outline about this which he is hoping to go through during the Discipleship Encouragement Weekends. One thing that he mentioned was that children tend to view God as being similar to their earthly father. Since no earthly father can live up to that role it should cause us to have a deeper desire to know the Lord ourselves and, while honoring our parents, look for how God Himself is at work behind and through them.

Esther, thank you for writing this post! I am so grateful that God gives us His Word and also His creation to learn about who He is.
