Our family was invited to the home of the Stelzl family to celebrate the Christmas celebration of the birth of our Savior.

122412-JAS_3139I (Donna) especially enjoyed the hymn sing and testimony time with their small group on Sunday evening. Even though we were strangers to most of the group, we  found it easy to interact and hold meaningful discussions. Don and I both enjoyed a counseling session at their favorite Chinese Restaurant.

Several of our entrepreneurs were encouraged after talking with Mr. Stelzl about business related topics and goals. Don also took advantage of the opportunity to learn from Dave how to help his sons get established in business.

Daniel and David mentioned the excellent meals that we all thoroughly enjoyed, especially the peanut butter balls and cheese snacks. Also, the brisket and oreo peanut butter pie for Christmas dinner were big hits!

122412-JAS_3181Daniel enjoyed spending time with Timmy, who seemed to be "always everywhere," and appreciated the orderly surroundings (which is quite an accomplishment with so many people around). Donald also mentioned watching Timmy on Christmas morning as being a highlight. We really felt at home when he would jump on our bed to get the ball rolling on Christmas morning.

122412-JAS_3198Donald liked playing Catan with everyone as well as seeing the deer fall to the ground from the livingroom window. He also was appreciative of the relaxed schedule. Jonathan thought playing football and baseball outside with the lively younger Stezel children made his day. I guess the rest of us Staddon’s are getting old and boring. :)

122412-JAS_3124Esther went shopping with the girls and to her delight was able to find a good deal on some items, but her biggest thrill was seeing how excited Tina was when she shot the deer from the bedroom window.

We praise God for the willingness of the Stelzl family to practice hospitality!
