Update from Indy

A full auditorium of praying leaders! The Father’s Conference here at the Indianapolis Training Center is progressing very well! It is quite exciting that Robert, Esther, Daniel and myself have been able to help out, from washing dishes and  Daniel sings along as he runs the camera preparing food to running video cameras and manning book tables. It’s a first for all four of us to be working on the same Conference together, Daniel even had the opportunity to share of his experiences with the 2009 Bible Bee and  we are greatly enjoying it! Please pray that the truth would continue to be spoken and that these mighty leaders of the future would be encouraged and equipped to be a Psalm 112 father:

“Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
His seed shall be mighty upon earth:
the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Wealth and riches shall be in his house:
and his righteousness endureth for ever.
Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:
he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion.
Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:
his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,
until he see his desire upon his enemies.
He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor;
his righteousness endureth for ever;
his horn shall be exalted with honour.
The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;
he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:
the desire of the wicked shall perish.”
~ Psalm 112:1-10

    We’ve been reminded to pray for you and everyone there often. Thank you for the report, the pictures and the theme verses. It’s exciting to see the Lord using your teamwork.

    THanks for the update, and we are praying for everyone who is there. May God be revealed in a mighty way to all who are there.

    Nice piece of scripture, glad the conference was blessed and I pray many men/fathers will carry away the lessons of Him. My personal favorite part of the scripture was the line: “…he will guide his affairs with discretion”. May I ask how this piece of His wisdom is to be carried over in life? I know that I do not have the answer to this question since I am a secular woman etc. I just wonder if perhaps this line was created to encourage men from televising their lives and otherwise letting the wolves be all “up in their grill”. . . . As always, thanks to you all for your patience with my posts. Peace!

    What a joy and surprise to be here! It was an unexpected trip for me but it has been pure delight! After teaching availability all month I found out about the need to come to Indy and had a chance to practice what I’ve been teaching. 🙂 Robert, James, Daniel and I have been able to spend more time together than I imagined! I’m so grateful it worked out. 🙂

    Let our prayers continue to be offered up for the men who attended, as the real work begins after the teaching ends. God is doing amazing things!

    It was great to spend some time with you all while you were here for the Conference (and to finally meet you, Esther!). The Lord bless you for all of your hard work and willing, faithful service!

    Praise the Lord for men who desire to be Godly men and thereby draw closer to the Heavenly Father so that they may lead their families in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation among whom we are called to shine as lights – wall builders come to mind – filling in the gaps!

    It was a great weekend…and it was really neat to have all four of you there working together.
    Praise the Lord for what He accomplished.

    Thanks for your comments everyone! Staffing a conference in Indy is a lot like having a family reunion. 🙂
