Coming from the mouth of John Quincy Adams, one of America's greatest founders, it is not an insight to be taken lightly. God has used the United States for the progress of the gospel dispensation more than any nation before it! Woe to us if we now turn and use the blessings God has given us for evil instead of for good. We have laid the cornerstone of human government on the first precepts of Christianity, and our foundation is the Redeemer's mission on earth.
