GO DANIEL!! It was incredible to hear the cheer that went up when the group of us staying at the Wilkes heard that you had made it to the semi-finals!

I also had the privilege of telling both Esther and Robert about what happened today; they were thrilled beyond words!! And so am I.

At first, I was praying that you would make it to the semi-finals; now I’m praying you will make it to the actual finals! God bless you with a sound mind and a sound sleep too. 🙂

My husband is at the Bible bee with my son and older daughters. He said Daniel was so polished and deliberate in his delivery during semi-finals that he believes Daniel will win it. God continue to bless you and your family as you bless others in your participation at the Bible Bee.

Wow, Daniel – we just saw the final final tie-breaker! Whew! All I know is that Daniel correctly quoted the last three passages. (We were reading along.)

And now we are dying to know the outcome, but I know you are dying even more. To think you have to wait more than 2 hours! We are going to see if they will web-cast the announcements during dinner. If not, I will be calling Robert to find out!

God bless you, Daniel for all the work you have put into hiding His Word in your heart.

It was so exciting to watch. Whatever the outcome Daniel has represented his family, his state, and his Lord very well. We’ve all been watching, and praying, and waiting…

Daniel! You won! You have been faithful in that which was least and God is trusting you with much! Congratulations!

Hoorah! I can hardly believe it. You could not have asked for a more thrilling competition! The Bible Bee staff and all the great contestants did such an awesome job making it fun for everyone. God so blessed the entire time. Thank you so much everyone for all your prayers and support! I could feel it up there. Praise the Lord!

And hey, if I can win, anybody can! At first I figured all those genius’ with photographic memories would knock th rest of us out, so I might as well not try. Not true! Anyone with determination, diligence, and a heart for the Lord has a great chance at winning. Go for it 2010!

Congratulations Daniel! When we realized that we “knew” you through Robert,(there is a slight family resemblance ;), we were even more excited to view the finals ! Our family was in the Bible Bee as well in Southern Ohio….in fact our chairman Tammy and Mark McMahan were asked to be on the judges panel. What a thrill it was to see you and them on the webcast and to watch you progress to the final 3 ! We were praying for you and felt that you would make it to #1 ! Would you share any special tips that made the memorization more effective ? We learned most of ours by making songs of them. Is that what you were doing when you moved your lips….? singing the song ?! =)

It pales in comparison, but we were delighted that our Joshua won the 1st place in our local Bee, and Sarah placed 2nd in the Juniors, but their scores weren’t quite high enough to make it to Nationals. But just as you said, WE ARE ALL WINNERS when we study God’s eternal, precious and valuable WORD ! We are looking forward to next year and engrafting more of His Word into our hearts ! Rejoicing with you,

    The Walk Family

Congratulations!! We were at the Bee as well and enjoyed your quick recall of verses. Watching the finalists was very encouraging and I’m sure I speak for everyone that was there. Way to go!

    Congratulations, Daniel!
I was wondering if someone in your family filmed the semifinal rounds at the Bible Bee, or if you know someone who did. I would love if the semifinals were uploaded to Google Video or YouTube!
