Hmmm. So now the big scientific idea is that nothing created everything? Pretty amazing, isn’t it?
Except for the fact that it is a scientific impossibility!
It takes God to create something from nothing.
Rejecting the idea of an intelligent designer requires blind faith that, ultimately, everything was created by nothing. Obviously, this is not a scientific idea. Sadly, this religion is being taught in our education system under the guise of “science.” Ray Comfort makes the absolute silliness of atheistic evolution abundantly clear in his new book, Nothing Created Everything.
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” (II Corinthians 4:4).
Really strange, isn’t it, that people would come up with such ideas just to help keep God out of their minds and avoid the responsibilities that He has given us. It seems much more logical to me that “things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” The faith it takes to understand this is not a blind faith, but a persuasion based on evidence that requires me to give up things I don’t want to give up. Faith involves trusting that the life I have not yet experienced is available if I do what is required to receive it. It is taking steps based on Jer. 29:13, Prov. 1:28 and 8:17, Is. 57:15, Acts 17:27, Matt. 4:17 etc.
Perhaps athiests are really hurting people. Maybe they are really just angry at the God of love who allowed pain into their lives, not realizing that pain, suffering, & death are a result of the curse. The true God of love provided a way back to Himself through Christs’ sacrifice.
I heard a speaker point out one time that it can be helpful to ask someone (say an “athiest”) to define what they mean by “God”. If they have a wrong definition, that opens the door to give a Biblical perspective of God.
Ray Comfort sure comes up with some good ones!
