What an encouraging post. This motivates me to ask Jonathan to share his verses with us at the dinner table so that we can all keep them fresh in our minds and be ready to use as the Spirit leads.

Wonderful idea! All the verses are familiar, but I never took the time to consciously memorize them with their references and have them prepared to use in a conversation. Jonathan has been teaching them to me before we go to bed each night!

That's a good point, Jonathan! As you point out, the very first command that Christ gave was to "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17).

It looks like your up to a great endevour. I checked out your verses and noticed that there are none about repentance. Acts 20:20-21 or Mark 1:15 are really good. It's good to use the verses about calling on the name of the Lord, but many in America are using them out of context of the whole Bible, and basing their salvation on the fact that they prayed a prayer. With love, for God and you all, Jonathan 1 John 2:5
