Thank you for that well written account. I think I’d concur with your Aunt Judy that it would be awesome if this account could make its way into a book someday. You and Matthew ought to put one together and with your well thought out opinions of the two sides, no comment , I’m sure it would be a worthy read.

I enjoyed your post! Very informative & well written. I especially like the imagery of the battlefield. It helped me share your experience. It could be the beginning of a book. Has a book been written that illustrates scripture through the character qualities (or faults)of famous military officers? I knew very little about Stuart but remembered something about his pride being his downfall.

It was great to review the facts of the battle and be reminded that God is the One who puts one up and sets one down. The pictures brought back great memories too!

It has been fun learning about this battle. Having heard it over and over recently, I was able to share the story and it’s message two or three times with people today! It’s a great moral to the story, even though it is kind of sad.
