Hey y'all! Thanks for the comments. For those of you who were wondering, snowmobiles are propelled forward by a rotating track in the back (like you might see on a tank). Steering is done by the two skis on the front. It's amazing how effectively they can cut through snow, even if it is fresh. They can go pretty fast, too, especially on packed surfaces. David reached 70mph! :)

Snow, snow, snow! What fun you can have in it! Cross country skiing is such a blast. What I liked about it was the pace you go at still allows you to interact with one another and really take in the beauties around you.
It is also a great way to get comfortable on skis before you try down hill skiing! :-) Great pictures Robert! It sure looks like you all had a blast!

We are grateful to the Jensen family for helping to make your month in the North Woods so memorable.
We are grateful to the Lord for His protection during all your "first" excursions in the snow.

What fun! You had told us about your excursions but there's nothing like a picture. That really looks like it was a blast!

My only question is, how are the snowmobiles propelled forward? Jonathan would also like to know you steer them.
