The Valentines Banquet
My responsibilities for this very special Valentines Banquet were categorized into three major sections: I was to first help in the studio, then take pictures of how the food was prepared and lastly take more pictures of what all transpired during the actual banquet.
For the studio, Rob was the photographer but I was supposed to make sure things went smoothly. We also worked quickly to give them a framed picture by the end of the evening.
Taking pictures of everyone preparing food was really fun. Clayton did an excellent job of making each course of the meal very special.
The essence of the candle-light banquet is impossible to capture with a camera. But it was fun taking pictures of the dining room and servers:
“Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Philippians 2:2-3
incredible pictures…
Looks like it was a very special event and a fun way to focus on others instead of self!
“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”; “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another” (Romans 15:5, 6; 14:19).
Nice pictures! I’m sure every bit was worth it – nothing’s too good for those much-deserving attendees! By the way, just where did they find Blackberries in February?!?! (Actually I am distantly familiar with cane fruit production in greenhouses for winter harvest, which is even being done in the north these days. Amazing what can be done isn’t it!)
Very elegant!
Is the recipe for grapefruit ice available?
